The Inaugural Session

The first AIM IN Journal Club was a resounding success, with 30 eager participants joining to explore the essentials of analyzing research literature. This pioneering session sparked lively discussions between students and faculty, creating an atmosphere of collaborative learning that continues to define our approach to academic excellence.

Key Topics: Essential epidemiological concepts including blinding, randomization, and screening were thoroughly covered, providing students with fundamental research literacy skills.

Expert Presenters: Founders Saad Masood and Rafay Paracha expertly dissected an open-label RCT, while Dr. Imran provided invaluable insights on retrospective analysis methodologies.

Impact: The event laid a strong foundation for future research excellence, concluding with networking over refreshments and establishing lasting academic connections.

Advancing Excellence

Journal Club II - Building Momentum

Held at the Forensics department, our second Journal Club built magnificently on the momentum of the first, attracting over 20 enthusiastic participants eager to deepen their research expertise. The session fostered intellectually stimulating exchanges and cultivated an even stronger spirit of collaborative learning among participants.

Advanced Topics: In-depth discussions focused on bias reduction techniques, confounding variable control, and sophisticated methods for interpreting complex study outcomes.

Expert Presenter: Farooq Ahmad, a seasoned researcher from Batch 24, skillfully guided participants through his study's innovative design, rigorous methodology, and significant findings.

Achievement: The event successfully deepened participants' practice of analytical paper reading and enhanced their ability to identify research gaps, marking another milestone in our journey toward research excellence.
